Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:To support Pot Line operations through on-the-job training by assisting Cell Operators in the safe and efficient production of molten aluminium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in anode changing, pot beam raising, tapping preparation, and metal sampling
- Support pot operations including skimming, bath tapping, material addition, and housekeeping
- Assist in gutter, basement, and equipment cleaning
- Attend anode effects and PTM (Pot Tending Machine) training as required
- Ensure safety standards, proper placement of pot shields/doors, and adherence to 5S practices
- Identify and report hazards to maintain a safe work environment
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (completion of technical secondary school) with a relevant trade certification.
Minimum Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a production plant is highly preferable (e.g. alumina, gas, oil or petrochemical plants). Preferably, having a certification or training that will provide the position holder with the required basic knowledge alumina refinery fundamentals.

- Knowledge of continuous process operations
- Ability to complete routing operations support tasks within the assigned Operations centre with minimal supervision.
