Maintain the general ledger accounts of the company, apply the required principles and standards of accounting in recording business transactions. Process vendor and client invoices, perform account reconciliations, as well as other day to day tasks of the Financial and Accounts department.
Skills
- Implement the departmental policies and procedures and comply with the overall company policies.
- Comply with all applicable accounting standards as per International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare receipt and payment vouchers for funds received/disbursed through business activities.
- Enter direct journal vouchers related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, income, etc. in the accounting system.
- Complete all General Ledger procedures including reconciliation of Sub ledgers with General Ledger balances for monthly, quarterly, as well as year-end closing.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies or shortages of information/data and report issues to the Finance Manager in order to reconcile the discrepancies.
- Create all adjusting, closing and reversing entries as instructed, to attain reconciliation in case of discrepancies.
- Analyze and summaries all accounting information, as well as ensure that key issues are brought to the attention of the Finance Manager/direct head.
- Follow all instructions provided by superiors in executing the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes.
- Interact with internal and external auditors and assist in completing audits.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the well-organized flow of company processes.
- Take responsibility of filing departmental documentations and retaining the confidentiality of all company’s business related information.
- Support the Chief Accountant in day to day departmental work.
Perform all assigned jobs in addition to the above tasks.
