The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role includes preparing financial reports, handling daily accounting transactions, and supporting management with financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost control
- Support internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and government authorities when required
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle)
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel
