Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Accountant with strong experience in accounting systems enhancement, process optimization, and financial controls. This role goes beyond day-to-day accounting and is ideal for someone who enjoys improving, automating, and strengthening accounting processes to support business growth, compliance, and high-quality management reporting.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records while leading initiatives to optimize accounting systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing
• Implement, optimize, or upgrade accounting software to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
• Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and reduce manual work
• Design, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare accurate financial reports and management reports to support decision-making
• Work closely with management to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and advisors as needed
• Continuously review and improve accounting workflows to align with business growth

Requirements

• Proven experience in general accounting with strong exposure to accounting systems and process improvement
• Hands-on experience implementing or optimizing accounting software / ERP systems
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting processes
• Strong analytical skills with a process- and improvement-oriented mindset
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a growing or early-stage company
• Exposure to automation tools, integrations, or workflow optimization
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is a plus
