Chief accountant required for a well-established Engineering Consultancy firm based in Dubai, delivering high-quality consulting services across infrastructure, construction, and development projects. As part of our expansion, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance function and support our strategic growth.

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle of the company, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, optimizing financial performance, and providing accurate financial reporting to management. This role requires strong experience in engineering consultancy or construction project accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Manage project-based accounting and revenue recognition for engineering consultancy contracts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, filings, and FTA requirements
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls and accounting policies
- Support management with financial analysis, profitability tracking, and cost control
- Lead and supervise the accounting team
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification: CA / CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 4–5 years in engineering consultancy or construction sector
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, contract costing, and revenue recognition
- Solid experience in UAE VAT and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in accounting systems / ERPs (Peachtree, Zoho, SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
