About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will manage sourcing and category strategies, negotiate contracts, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure efficient purchase order processing to support organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies for goods and services
Conduct sourcing and category management activities, including market analysis and supplier evaluation
Negotiate and finalize contract terms and agreements with vendors to secure favorable conditions
Manage vendor relationships, monitor performance, and resolve disputes
Process purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and coordinate procurement activities
Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports on procurement activities
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Skills
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles
Proven experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
Strong knowledge of purchase order processing and sourcing & category management
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification such as CIPS, CPP, or equivalent
Experience working in the UAE or GCC region
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Knowledge of local procurement laws and regulations in Abu Dhabi
Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting
