Best Grid is a geosynthetics solutions provider based in Abu Dhabi, serving infrastructure projects across the UAE and wider Middle East region. We're looking for a geotechnical engineer to strengthen our technical capabilities and support our growing project portfolio.

In this role, you'll be the engineering backbone behind our commercial operations. Our clients , contractors, consultants, and government entities rely on us not just for products, but for sound technical guidance. You'll help them navigate challenges like weak subgrades, heavy traffic loads, and value engineering requirements using our range of geogrids, geocells, and geotextiles.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing pavement designs using AASHTO-93 and mechanistic-empirical methodologies
• Preparing technical reports, design calculations, and verification documents for client submissions
• Evaluating project specifications and recommending appropriate geosynthetic solutions
• Providing engineering support to the sales team during client and consultant meetings
• Liaising with our manufacturing partners on product specifications and performance data
• Conducting site visits when needed to assess ground conditions or support installation

This role requires someone comfortable working at the intersection of engineering and business. You'll have direct contact with clients and consultants, so the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly is essential. We're a lean team, which means you'll take genuine ownership of your work and see the direct impact of your contributions.

Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM

Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in pavement design, earthworks, or ground improvement
• Demonstrated experience with geosynthetic products (geogrids, geotextiles, geocells, soakaway and etc.)
• Strong familiarity with AASHTO and ASTM standards
• Proficiency in pavement analysis tools such as KENPAVE (or equivalent ME software) , AutoCad , Plaxis.
• Ability to produce clear, well structured technical reports with minimal supervision
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to engage on commercial aspects of projects
