Senior Solutions Architect
Job Scope
The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for evaluating an organization’s business needs and determining how IT can support those needs leveraging software, hardware or infrastructure. S/he determines, develops and improves technical solutions in support of business goals and guides Solutions Architect(s) in their day-to-day activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for business needs or problems
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Prepare and document testing requirements
- Work with customers to develop Cloud IT Roadmaps, improve and maximize the ROI made in existing products
- Work Closely with the sales team to support upsell, cross sell initiatives, and generate demand
- Build and migrate software and services across the customer environments
- Work with product and delivery teams to develop scalable solutions and products
- Communicate and consult with clients and internal stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions
- Handle the Solutions Architecture responsibilities part of the running projects
- Build a detailed design, solution architecture and proposal for a new system
- Review and evaluate a software product according to specified procedures and ensure users' needs are determined and met
- Understand the goal of assigned projects, define ""design criteria"" and devise best solutions for clients
- Ensure solutions stated in the statement of work are best practice and in line with client requirements
- Support the sales bid process by responding to RFI’s and RFP’s
- Create individual bid packages/technical proposals for needed hardware/service resources
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure successful closure of the sales process
- Review recommendations sent by vendors against requests for quote (RFQs), select the best vendor(s) and incorporate any recommended change meeting client needs
- Coordinate detailed engineering plans from each supplier, define project schedule in collaboration with SDM and integrate into a complete cohesive system
- Liaise with the sales team to provide feedback from clients on product requirements
- Stay abreast of market trends, products, and competitor landscapes
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any other related field
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on cloud engineering and architecture.
- Hands-on experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Proven track record of leading successful Azure deployments in complex environments.
Technical Proficiencies
Azure Core: Deep expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS, and networking fundamentals.
Azure Governance & Security: Strong understanding of landing zone concepts, IAM, and security controls.
Migration & Modernization: Proficiency with Azure Migrate, ASR, and other migration tools and patterns.
DevOps & Automation: Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform/Bicep) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
FinOps: Familiarity with cloud cost management, tagging strategies, and budget governance.
