We are seeking a polished, service-driven In-Room Dining Order Taker (Arabic Speaker) to join the Food & Beverage team at InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay. In this guest-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for in-room dining requests, delivering seamless, warm, and personalized service that reflects the sophistication and world-class standards of the InterContinental® brand.


Located in the heart of Dubai’s vibrant Business Bay—moments from Dubai Mall and the iconic Burj Khalifa—InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay offers 176 exquisitely designed residences, blending refined luxury with exceptional lifestyle experiences. Our commitment to intuitive service ensures every guest and resident feels genuinely cared for at every interaction.


As an In-Room Dining Order Taker, you play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and elegance in every order, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and brand excellence.


Your Day-to-Day


Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


In-Room Dining Operations


  • Answer in-room dining calls promptly and professionally in both Arabic and English, in line with InterContinental service standards.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders, ensuring clarity on guest preferences, dietary requirements, and special requests.
  • Demonstrate strong menu knowledge, confidently offering recommendations and upselling where appropriate.
  • Enter orders correctly into the POS system and coordinate closely with kitchen and service teams.
  • Follow up on order status to ensure timely delivery and guest satisfaction.

Service Excellence


  • Deliver warm, courteous, and personalized telephone service at all times.
  • Ensure all guest interactions reflect luxury hospitality and Forbes service standards.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling guest information.

Operational Accuracy & Compliance


  • Ensure full compliance with IHG brand standards, food safety regulations, and hygiene protocols.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for order taking, billing, and communication.
  • Ensure accurate posting of charges to guest accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Teamwork & Coordination


  • Communicate effectively with kitchen, service, and management teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Support colleagues during peak service periods to maintain service flow and consistency.
  • Share guest feedback with relevant departments to support continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement


  • Stay updated on menus, promotions, service enhancements, and brand standards.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning and development within a luxury food & beverage environment.
  • Maintain high standards of grooming, professionalism, and brand representation.

What We Need from You


Qualifications, Experience & Education


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in in-room dining, food & beverage service, call center, or guest services within luxury hotels or serviced residences is preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., MICROS or similar).
  • Formal training in customer service, telephone etiquette, or luxury service standards is an advantage.
  • Food safety or hygiene certification (e.g., HACCP) is an added benefit.
  • Pre-opening hotel or residence experience is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies


  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and understood) is required.
  • Excellent communication skills with refined professional telephone etiquette.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
  • Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
