InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT/AV Officer to support the smooth operation of all information technology and audio-visual systems across the property. This role is essential in maintaining seamless connectivity, system security, and high-quality AV experiences for guests and colleagues, in line with InterContinental brand standards and Forbes luxury service expectations.
Located in the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay, the property features 176 luxury serviced residences. As an IT/AV Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring uninterrupted operations, secure infrastructure, and exceptional digital experiences across the property.
Your Day-to-Day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
IT Operations & Infrastructure SupportProvide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
Maintain and monitor hotel IT infrastructure including servers, switches, firewalls, workstations, and printers
Support core hotel systems including PMS, POS, IPTV, HSIA (Wi-Fi), telephony, and back-office applications
Ensure scheduled backups are completed and verified
Assist in system installations, upgrades, and patches as directed by the Cluster Director of IT
Audio-Visual (AV) OperationsSet up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings, events, and internal functions
Troubleshoot projectors, LED screens, sound systems, microphones, and video conferencing platforms
Coordinate with Events and F&B teams to ensure seamless AV support
Maintain proper storage, preventive maintenance, and inventory of AV equipment
Network & Security ComplianceMonitor network performance and escalate issues where required
Support implementation of cybersecurity measures and brand IT security standards
Assist in managing user accounts, access controls, and system permissions
Ensure compliance with data protection policies and corporate IT guidelines
Systems Maintenance & Asset ManagementPerform preventive maintenance of IT and AV equipment
Maintain updated IT asset registers and documentation
Report recurring technical issues and recommend operational improvements
Coordinate with external vendors under the guidance of the Cluster Director of IT
Team Collaboration & Service DeliveryProvide prompt, professional IT support to all departments
Deliver basic IT orientation or guidance to colleagues when needed
Participate in departmental meetings and IT briefings
Maintain professional grooming and conduct aligned with luxury brand standards
What We Need from YouQualifications & ExperienceDiploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 2–3 years of IT support experience in hospitality or corporate environments
Experience supporting cluster or multi-property environments is an advantage
Exposure to luxury hospitality operations preferred
Technical SkillsStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi systems)
Experience with Windows Server environments and end-user device management
Knowledge of hotel systems (PMS, POS, IPTV, HSIA) preferred
Hands-on experience with AV systems and conferencing technology
Understanding of cybersecurity and IT compliance standards
Education & CertificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma in IT or related field
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco preferred
AV certifications are an advantage
