Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller for our finance team within our Operations EMEA business.
Due to the nature of the projects and expectation, the position will be based full time at our office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the ADNOC MSA project.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and project performance reports.
- Monitor revenue recognition and cost allocation in line with contract terms.
- Ensure accurate project accounting and financial transparency.
- Track project costs, expenditures, and profitability.
- Implement cost control mechanisms to prevent budget overruns.
- Analyze cost-to-completion and project margins.
- Coordinate with project managers to control operational spending.
- Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the project.
- Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual figures.
- Recommend corrective financial strategies when deviations occur.
- Maintain proper audit trails and documentation for financial transactions.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Review contract financial terms, billing structures, and cost recovery mechanisms.
- Validate invoices submitted to ADNOC under the MSA contract.
- Ensure timely invoicing and collection from the client.
- Monitor project cash flow, receivables, and payables.
- Ensure adequate liquidity to support project operations.
- Manage vendor payments and subcontractor financial processes.
- Implement financial controls and risk management frameworks.
- Maintain project financial data within ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar).
- Improve financial processes for efficiency and compliance.

Expected:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
- Professional certification preferred: CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA
- Minimum 10–15 years of finance experience
- Minimum 5 years in oil & gas / EPC / ADNOC projects
- Experience managing MSA or long-term service contracts
- Strong exposure to project accounting and cost control
