The Manager GSE & Aircraft Recovery ensures all GSE & Recovery equipment is readily available and serviceable to meet the operational requirements, works closely with Production Planning to arrange GSE before planned events, and oversees all preventative maintenance activities for Etihad’s GSE and Aircraft Recovery equipment.

• Drives an efficient 24/7 GSE operations to ensure equipment availability and serviceability.


• Reviews all new aircraft equipment requirements and proposes cost effective procurement solutions. 


• Maintains the Aircraft Recovery Kit in serviceable and ready condition for deployment when required.


• Coordinates training requirements for all DAR team members and leads the team whenever is required.


• Establishes effective channels of communications between ADAC and Emergency Services for any recovery activities.


• Ensures that all GSE is in-compliance meets CAR 145, HSE, and company standards to facilitate aircraft serviceability.


• Performs regular meetings with staff in terms of performance review, training, and improvement.


• Develops and implements effective and lean GSE operations that meet budgetary guidelines.


• Monitors all equipment’s planned preventive maintenance to minimize disruptions to the aircraft maintenance programme.


• Develops and implements an effective vehicle allocation process, accurately capturing each vehicle user, to ensure valid ADP prior to issue.


• Negotiates with external vendors the repair, maintenance, and fabrication of Etihad’s GSE and vehicles.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years aviation industry experience is required. Previous experience in a similar Management role is preferable.  Strong communication and team building skills are required to be successful for the role.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree with preferred background related to logistics/supply chain management, industrial, or mechanical engineering; previous experience related to Airline Technical Operations is required.
