About the job Hair Assistant
Key Requirements:- Prepare and sanitize stations before and after each client.
- Welcome clients and offer refreshments to ensure a pleasant experience.
- Shampoo, condition, and rinse clients' hair.
- Assist stylists during coloring, treatments, and chemical services.
- Blow-dry or rough-dry hair under stylist supervision.
- Mix colors and treatments as instructed by the stylist.
- Keep tools, brushes, and equipment clean and sanitized.
- Maintain towel stock (washing, drying, folding).
- Support with retail product display and restocking.
- Sweep floors and keep the salon area clean at all times.
- Assist with applying treatments such as masks, oils, or serums.
- Escort clients to the washbasin and back to the chair.
- Observe stylists' techniques as part of ongoing learning.
- Handle small errands (fetching products, tools, etc.).
- Ensure client comfort during services (magazines, cushions, blankets).
