Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct comprehensive gynecological evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessment, to diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Provide routine and high-risk obstetric care, including prenatal visits, delivery, and postnatal follow-up in collaboration with obstetricians and midwives.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as pelvic exams, Pap smears, ultrasound-assisted assessments, laparoscopic surgeries, and other minimally invasive techniques as authorized and trained.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for gynecologic disorders (e.g., menstrual irregularities, infertility, endometriosis, fibroids, malignant and benign conditions) and coordinate multidisciplinary care when needed.
• Educate patients on preventive care, family planning, contraception options, sexual health, and menopause management; provide counseling and informed consent for procedures.
• Monitor and manage postoperative recovery, complications, and follow-up care, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and patient safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, document clinical findings, and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes and streamline care pathways.
• Engage in continuous professional development, participate in rounds, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Medical degree in Medicine (MBBS/MD) from an accredited university; Board certification or equivalent specialization in Gynecology is preferred.
• Current and valid medical license to practice in the UAE (or eligibility for licensure).
• Internship or equivalent early career experience with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology.
• Solid clinical knowledge in gynecology, obstetrics, reproductive health, and related procedures.
• Proficiency in performing essential gynecologic procedures and familiarity with minimally invasive surgical techniques.
• Strong understanding of UAE healthcare regulations, patient privacy, and ethical standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care and counseling.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment with a diverse patient population.
