Roles & Responsibilities

� We're Hiring: Senior Estimation Engineer / Bid Engineer �

� Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

� Industry: Oil & Gas / EPC Projects

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong estimation, tendering, cost analysis, and bid management experience who can drive competitive and compliant proposals from inception through submission.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Lead and coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial bid submissions.

✅ Review tender documents, identify scope requirements, and ensure bid completeness.

✅ Participate in pre-bid meetings, post-bid meetings, and site surveys.

✅ Raise and manage technical and commercial clarifications with clients to ensure bid accuracy.

✅ Prepare and verify detailed Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and quantity take-offs.

✅ Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, evaluate quotations, and prepare bid evaluation comparisons.

✅ Collaborate with Project, HSE, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Finance, and HR departments to obtain required bid inputs.

✅ Prepare cost estimates, including direct and indirect costs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

✅ Identify project risks and develop appropriate contingency allowances within estimates.

✅ Ensure technical and commercial proposals are fully compliant with client requirements and tender specifications.

✅ Present bid summaries and cost estimates to management for review and approval.

✅ Support project teams during post-award handover and clarification stages.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements � Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. � 12–15 years of total experience, with 6–8 years of UAE Oil & Gas industry experience preferred. � Proven experience in estimation, tendering, bid preparation, and cost control for EPC projects. � Strong knowledge of MTO preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation methodologies, and commercial evaluations. � Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary departments. � Ability to analyze risks and develop comprehensive project cost estimates. � Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract and tendering processes. � Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
