We’re looking for a professional and experienced Houseboat Captain to join our team and take full responsibility for the safe operation, maintenance, and guest experience of a premium houseboat in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate and navigate the houseboat in accordance with UAE maritime regulations.* Conduct pre-departure safety inspections and ensure all safety equipment is operational.* Perform routine maintenance checks and coordinate repairs when required.* Keep the vessel clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.* Welcome guests, provide safety briefings, and deliver a premium hospitality experience.* Plan routes based on weather, tides, and operational requirements.* Maintain accurate voyage, maintenance, and fuel records.* Ensure compliance with all maritime laws and company procedures.
Requirements
* Valid UAE Boat Captain/Marine License.* Proven experience operating boats or houseboats.* Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi waters and local maritime regulations.* Excellent communication and customer service skills.* Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).* Professional, reliable, and safety-focused.* Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and varied schedules.
Preferred
* First Aid and CPR certification.* Experience in hospitality, yacht charter, or luxury tourism.* Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
