Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, operating systems, and data storage systems supporting CCAO operations

  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and Active Directory/identity management in line with government data governance and security policies

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime for citizen-facing and internal services

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls (firewalls, endpoint protection, backups, patch management) in compliance with UAE government IT security standards (e.g., NESA/Signature/TDRA-aligned frameworks where applicable)

  • Administer email, collaboration platforms, and internal applications used for case management, correspondence, and coordination with federal/local entities

  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures for critical systems and citizen data

  • Provide technical support (Tier 2/3) to staff, troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues, and manage IT helpdesk escalations

  • Maintain documentation of IT assets, configurations, policies, and procedures

  • Coordinate with external vendors, telecom providers, and government IT bodies (e.g., TDRA, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority) on infrastructure, licensing, and integration projects

  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including e-services and system integrations tied to CCAO's citizen and community programs

  • Ensure compliance with UAE data protection and government information security regulations

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

    • 3–6 years' experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a government or public sector entity

    • Strong knowledge of Windows Server/Linux administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls), and Active Directory

    • Experience with backup/DR solutions, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/G42 Cloud), and cybersecurity best practices

    • Familiarity with UAE government IT compliance frameworks (e.g., Abu Dhabi Digital Authority policies, NESA standards) is a strong advantage

    • Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Server+/Security+, CCNA, or ITIL are preferred

    • Fluent in Arabic and English (Arabic often required/preferred for UAE federal entities)

    • UAE national or resident with relevant work eligibility (many UAE Presidential Court–affiliated entities prioritize Emiratization)

    Key Competencies

    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

    • High attention to security, confidentiality, and data sensitivity (government/citizen data)

    • Ability to work under government protocols and coordinate across federal/local authorities

    • Good communication and documentation skills

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
