Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in the delivery of patient care as directed by the registered nurse. Contribute to the general environment of the hospital well-being of the patient as a member of the nursing team.

Responsibilities

Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by and under supervision of the staff nurse.

3.2 Respond quickly to patient’s request for assistance.

3.3 Assist with patient’s elimination, mobility, and physical comfort, eating and drinking needs while observing and reporting any specific changes to the staff nurse.

3.4 Assist the nursing staff in bed making, sponge bathing, and other hygienic activity of the patient.

3.5 Responsible for segregation of soiled linen as per infection control guide lines under the supervision of nursing personnel.

3.6 Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patient’s room within the unit.

3.7 Assist in the maintenance of supply and storage areas.

3.8 Act as a messenger when required- Specimen transporting, CSSD instruments, and Insurance purposes.

3.9 Escort patients to and from Radiology Department as directed by nurse on duty.

3.10 To be responsible to act as a part of infection prevention and control programs.

3.11 Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient’s room for admission/discharge.

3.12 Participates in any scheduled educational activities

3.13 Assist in transporting patient, prepare surgical site by trimming hair.

3.14 Responsible for cleaning equipment’s, beds, lockers, furniture’s etc.

Desired Candidate Profile

4.1 High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

4.2 Intermediate English skills preferred. Spoken Arabic is advantageous.

4.3 Demonstrate motivation to work in a health care environment.
