Job description
The construction director is to lead the effort to manage and control the delivery of the infrastructure activities of the contractor and specialist subcontractors throughout the construction phase of the project and monitor the performance of the construction supervision consultant with regard to inspection and sign off of the works completed by contractor and intervene where issues arise to ensure a suitable conclusion.
Key responsibilities:
Monitor the infrastructure works throughout the construction process.
Monitor the performance of the supervision consultant and contractor.
Verify the reported progress in the various status reports with regard to infrastructure activities.
Monitor the technical submittal and approval process.
Identify improvements that can be achieved with regard to sequencing and progress on the project by all parties during construction.
Monitor inspection process and identify improvements where possible.
Monitor QHSE performance and identify and address deviations of performance.
Coordinate and manage the relationship with the local authorities.
Inform themselves of the relevant quality, environmental, safety and occupational health policies, manuals and procedures in place within the company, and ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree preferably in civil engineering.
Minimum 20 years’ experience in construction of infrastructure projects, with extensive experience in dealing with local authorities in Abu Dhabi (minimum 5 years).
Experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors.
Proven track record as a construction manager on related projects with large MEP infrastructure scopes.
Strong technical background in MEP projects with at least 2 full life cycle project experiences working on a project management team.
Management of inspections, mockups, prototypes, samples, and quality benchmarking.
Progressive verification of the works to contract specifications, drawings, and approved mock-ups.
Management of construction submittal and RFI review and response process.
Review main contractors reports (daily, weekly, monthly), technical and progress.
Propose methods of construction to support the main contractor.
Familiar with local authority requirements and procedures.
Background working on commercial, residential and/or industrial construction projects with large landscaping areas.

مراقبة عملية تقديم الأعمال الفنية واعتمادها.
تحديد التحسينات التي يمكن تحقيقها فيما يتعلق بالتسلسل والتقدم في المشروع من قبل جميع الأطراف خلال البناء.
مراقبة عملية الفحص وتحديد التحسينات حيثما أمكن.
مراقبة أداء QHSE وتحديد ومعالجة الانحرافات في الأداء.
تنسيق وإدارة العلاقة مع السلطات المحلية.
الاطلاع على السياسات والمناهج والإجراءات ذات الصلة بالجودة والبيئة والسلامة والصحة المهنية المعمول بها داخل الشركة والتأكد من الامتثال المستمر لهذه المتطلبات أثناء العمل.

المؤهلات والخبرة:
درجة البكالوريوس ويفضل في الهندسة المدنية.
خبرة لا تقل عن 20 عامًا في إنشاء مشاريع البنية التحتية، مع خبرة واسعة في التعامل مع السلطات المحلية في أبوظبي (لا تقل عن 5 سنوات).
خبرة في التعامل مع العقود الفرعية والمقاولين من الباطن.
سجل حافل كمدير بناء في مشاريع ذات نطاقات كبيرة للبنية التحتية الميكانيكية والكهربائية والسباكة.
خلفية تقنية قوية في مشاريع MEP مع خبرة مشروعين كاملين على الأقل كجزء من فريق إدارة المشروع.
إدارة الفحوصات وعينات النماذج والوثائق ومقاييس الجودة.
التحقق التدريجي للأعمال وفق المواصفات والعقود والرسومات ونماذج الاعتماد.
إدارة تقديم أعمال البناء ومراجعة والاستجابة لطلبات التغيير.
مراجعة تقارير المقاول الرئيسي (يوميًا، أسبوعيًا، شهريًا)، الفنية والتقدمية.
اقتراح أساليب البناء لدعم المقاول الرئيسي.
الإلمام بمتطلبات وإجراءات السلطات المحلية.
خلفية عمل في مشاريع تجارية وسكنية و/أو صناعية مع مساحات تشجير كبيرة.
