Erada Center for Treatment and Rehab in Dubai was established based on the vision of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and by the initiative of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. It aims to treat the disease of substance use disorders and alcohol addiction which negatively impact the wellbeing of individuals, families and society. Erada Center is a governmental entity committed to offer treatment and rehab services; promote awareness about addiction and to contribute in the scientific research in the field of addiction.

Job Title: Head of Pharmacy Department

General Job Description:Supervise the development of work plans and mechanisms for the Pharmacy Department and contribute to achieving the department’s objectives by following up on all executive tasks related to the operational plan, in addition to providing training sessions for medical staff.Specialized Duties:

·Supervise the administrative work within the pharmacy, including organizing and monitoring the technical aspects of the pharmacy staff.

·Ensure that patients receive medications that meet their therapeutic and preventive needs in accordance with appropriate international standards.

·Supervise the implementation of pharmaceutical care for patients by ensuring the accuracy of dosages, proportions, and drug interactions, and monitoring side effects.

·Train and guide employees to work in accordance with approved laws and regulations.

·Supervise pharmacists’ interactions with patients and visitors in an appropriate manner.

·Ensure safe storage in accordance with the nature of medications and other medical products.

·Supervise the maintenance of up-to-date records for all inventory movements, including issuing, receiving, and distribution, to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.

·Coordinate periodic meetings with the Medication Follow-up Committee and other relevant work teams to discuss the latest practical and legislative developments in pharmacy.

·Coordinate with the Nursing Department and other departments to ensure the availability of required medications while monitoring the storage and consumption of medications.

·Supervise the preparation of reports related to the needs and shortages of medications and medical supplies. 

Educational Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.

·Candidates holding a Doctorate/Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacy are preferred.

·Pharmacy practice license issued by the local health authorities (such as the Dubai Health Authority or the Ministry of Health).

Work Experience:

·At least 10 years of experience in the field of pharmacy, including 3 years in clinical pharmacy.

·Experience in dealing with complex medications and multi-diagnosis cases in the field of psychiatry and addiction treatment is preferred.
