That's why we're looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who can define our long-term technology vision, elevate engineering excellence, and build the scalable, secure, and innovative platform that will power our future growth.

You will play a key role in driving our technology modernization journey, evolving our platform architecture, accelerating cloud transformation, and embedding AI into our engineering practices to improve productivity, quality, and speed of delivery.

Your Mission

As CTO, you will define and execute Sana Commerce's long-term Technology strategy. You will ensure our engineering organization, technology investments, and platform capabilities enable our product vision while delivering a reliable, scalable, secure, and high-performing SaaS platform.

Working closely with the CEO, Executive Team, and Product leadership, you will lead our global Engineering and IT organizations while fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, collaboration, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Define the Technology Vision & Strategy

• Define and own Sana Commerce's long-term Technology vision, ensuring our platform supports the company's growth ambitions and positions us as the leading B2B eCommerce platform.
• Build a technology roadmap that balances innovation, platform scalability, operational excellence, security, and long-term sustainability.
• Inspire the organization with a clear technology vision and ensure engineering strategy supports business and product objectives.
• Define a long-term technology strategy that supports the continued evolution of our platform from a modern SaaS application into a highly scalable, cloud-native architecture.
• Partner closely with Product leadership to ensure technology investments support both immediate customer value and long-term platform evolution.

Elevate Engineering & Technology Performance

• Provide strategic leadership to the global Engineering and IT organizations.
• Ensure engineering execution is reliable, scalable, predictable, and aligned with business and product priorities.
• Champion technical excellence through modern software development practices, architectural discipline, cloud transformation, security, and platform modernization.
• Leverage AI and automation to improve software development, testing, quality assurance, and overall engineering effectiveness.
• Reduce technical complexity through Eliminate, Standardize, and Automate principles while continuously improving engineering efficiency.

Deliver a World-Class Platform

• Own the overall health and technical lifecycle of our SaaS platform, including performance, reliability, quality, security, scalability, and resilience.
• Drive platform improvements that increase developer productivity, engineering velocity, software quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure strong cross-functional alignment on release planning, technical priorities, resource allocation, and execution.
• Build a technology organization capable of supporting long-term global growth.

Drive Innovation

• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that strengthen Sana Commerce's competitive position.
• Lead the adoption of AI, automation, and modern engineering practices to improve both product capabilities and engineering productivity.
• Create an environment where innovation is encouraged while maintaining operational excellence and platform stability.

Build & Lead High-Performing Engineering Teams

• Develop and strengthen the global Engineering leadership team.
• Build our Engineering hub in Egypt as a strategic redundancy to our engineering organization in Ukraine.
• Build succession depth, leadership capability, and attract exceptional engineering talent.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement across Engineering and Technology.

Who You Are

You are a visionary technology leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence and knows how to scale engineering organizations in fast-growing SaaS businesses.

You bring:

• 10+ years of senior technology leadership experience, including experience leading large Engineering organizations in fast-growing SaaS businesses, ideally within B2B Software or eCommerce.
• Experience scaling globally distributed Engineering organizations across multiple countries and cultures, including offshore engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture, software engineering, platform modernization, distributed systems, engineering execution, and SaaS technology.
• Experience leading large international engineering organizations through periods of rapid growth and organizational transformation.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience balancing technology investments, engineering efficiency, platform costs, and business outcomes.
• Demonstrated success building high-performing engineering cultures and developing senior technology leaders.
• A data-driven mindset combined with strong strategic judgement.
• Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
