The Role We are seeking an experienced Architectural Design Manager to lead architectural design strategies, design coordination, and project delivery initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee architectural concepts, design development, technical coordination, quality assurance, and multidisciplinary collaboration while ensuring projects meet aesthetic, functional, regulatory, and sustainability objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement architectural design strategies, standards, and design management frameworks aligned with organizational objectives and project requirements. Lead architectural design activities from concept development through design documentation, approvals, construction support, and project completion. Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, Construction Teams, Urban Planners, Interior Designers, Sustainability Specialists, Project Managers, Contractors, Consultants, and Executive Leadership to deliver integrated design solutions. Manage design reviews, concept evaluations, technical coordination meetings, design workshops, and stakeholder presentations. Oversee architectural drawings, specifications, BIM coordination, visualization materials, technical submissions, and design documentation. Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, planning regulations, accessibility standards, sustainability requirements, safety regulations, and organizational quality standards. Manage design quality assurance processes, design risk assessments, value engineering initiatives, constructability reviews, and continuous improvement activities. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including design quality, project milestones, approval timelines, budget performance, client satisfaction, coordination efficiency, compliance performance, and delivery accuracy. Coordinate with regulatory authorities, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to support successful project implementation. Manage architectural design budgets, external consultants, design vendors, software platforms, and strategic design partnerships. Drive digital transformation through Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital twins, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered design analysis, parametric design, workflow automation, and business intelligence solutions. Utilize Autodesk Revit, Auto CAD, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketch Up, Navisworks, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, Power BI, and project management platforms to support design delivery. Prepare executive presentations, design reports, project updates, compliance reviews, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. Lead, mentor, and develop architects, design coordinators, BIM specialists, and multidisciplinary design teams while fostering creativity, collaboration, technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Design Management, Urban Design, or a related field. Professional architectural registration or membership with recognized organizations such as RIBA, AIA, or equivalent is highly advantageous. Master's degree or certifications in Architecture, BIM Management, Sustainable Design, Project Management, or Design Leadership are preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design, design management, architectural project delivery, or related roles. At least 2 years of experience managing architectural design teams, multidisciplinary projects, consultants, or complex design programs preferred. Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, BIM methodologies, construction processes, sustainability, design coordination, and project delivery. Experience with Autodesk Revit, Auto CAD, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketch Up, Navisworks, Adobe Creative Cloud, Power BI, and project collaboration tools. Familiarity with AI-powered architectural design tools, generative design, digital twins, smart building technologies, sustainable design analytics, and advanced visualization technologies is advantageous. Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, creative thinking, analytical, organizational, project management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple architectural design initiatives while balancing creativity, technical requirements, regulatory compliance, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed design teams and global stakeholders, with occasional travel for site visits, design reviews, client meetings, and project workshops as required.
