Position: Pharmacy Assistant
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations, ensuring the accurate handling of medications, maintaining inventory, and contributing to a safe and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions. Receive, store, and organize pharmaceutical products according to established procedures. Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment and expiry date checks. Maintain accurate records of medication supplies and transactions. Support the pharmacy team in ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies. Assist in preparing medication orders for inpatient and outpatient services. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area. Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries under pharmacist supervision.
Requirements Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Assistance, Pharmacy Technician, or a related healthcare field. Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting is preferred. Knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management and medication handling practices. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Proficiency in basic computer applications and pharmacy management systems.
