Job Title – Angular Frontend Developer
Location: Dubai, UAE

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Angular Frontend Developer to develop, enhance, and maintain modern web applications and digital solutions. The role will focus on building responsive user interfaces, reusable Angular components, API integrations, and high-quality digital experiences.

The role is particularly suited to a developer interested in working on data-driven digital platforms, product information systems, APIs, and supply-chain technology, areas that align closely with GS1 UAE's digital services and tools.

• Develop scalable and responsive web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Build reusable components, modules, services, and frontend libraries.
• Translate UI/UX designs and business requirements into functional interfaces.
• Develop responsive applications compatible with desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
• Follow clean coding standards and modern frontend development practices.

• Develop applications using Angular components, services, directives, pipes, routing, and forms.
• Implement reactive forms, validation, dependency injection, and state-management concepts.
• Optimize application architecture for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Upgrade Angular applications, libraries, and dependencies when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs and frontend performance issues.

• Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services into Angular applications.
• Work with JSON, HTTP services, authentication, and API error handling.
• Collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless data integration.
• Validate data flows between frontend applications and backend systems.
• Work with product and master-data platforms where required.

• Contribute to web applications supporting product identification, product data, digital services, and supply-chain information.
• Develop interfaces for data-intensive applications and online tools.
• Support integration of digital solutions involving product information, APIs, barcodes, identifiers, and related technology services.
• Ensure applications provide accurate, accessible, and user-friendly information.

GS1 UAE operates digital services including Verified by GS1, BrandSync, My NumberBank, data-quality tools, and EPCIS-related tools, making strong frontend development and data-handling capabilities particularly relevant to the role.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Implement responsive designs in line with approved design systems.
• Optimize page loading, rendering, and overall application performance.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks.

• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests for Angular applications.
• Perform functional, regression, and cross-browser testing.
• Work closely with QA teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Support continuous improvement of development and testing processes.

• Manage source code using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
• Track development activities and issues using Jira or similar project-management tools.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of professional experience in frontend development, with strong hands-on Angular experience.
• Strong proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design and modern browser technologies.
• Experience with Git-based source control.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with Jasmine, Karma, Jest, Cypress, or similar testing frameworks is preferred.
