Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, quantity take-offs, project valuation, budgeting, and commercial control for cement, ready-mix concrete, precast, and building materials projects.

The ideal candidate must possess hands-on experience utilizing AI-powered estimation and quantity surveying tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, cost forecasting, and tender preparation.

Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Tendering

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for concrete, cement, precast, and construction material projects.

• Analyze tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules, and commercial proposals.
• Conduct cost benchmarking using historical and market data.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate favorable commercial terms.

Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management

• Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Prepare interim valuations and payment applications.
• Assess and negotiate variations, claims, and change orders.
• Track project profitability and provide commercial performance reports.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure contract compliance and proper documentation of commercial records.

Cost Control & Reporting

• Prepare cash flow projections and project cost forecasts.
• Maintain cost databases and pricing libraries.
• Analyze material consumption and production costs for cement and concrete operations.
• Generate periodic cost reports for management review.
• Support financial planning and budgeting activities.

AI-Based Estimation & Digital Transformation

• Utilize AI-driven estimation and cost management software to improve estimating accuracy and productivity.
• Implement automated quantity take-off and cost forecasting solutions.
• Leverage BIM-integrated estimating tools and predictive analytics platforms.
• Analyze historical project data using AI tools to identify cost trends and commercial risks.
• Collaborate with management to improve digital estimation processes and reporting capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging construction technology solutions to enhance commercial efficiency.
• Stakeholder Management
• Coordinate with engineering, production, sales, procurement, and project teams.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Provide commercial advice on project feasibility and procurement strategies.

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Additional certification in Construction Technology, BIM, AI Applications, orvDigital Estimation Tools is preferred.

• Minimum 5-8 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably within GRC, GRP, precast concrete, façade, cladding, or building materials manufacturing industries.
