Fundamental Hospitality is looking to hire a Treasury Accountant to join our Head Office team in DIFC, Dubai.

This role is suited to a finance professional with hands-on experience in treasury operations and banking processes. The successful candidate will work closely with banks and banking relationship managers, managing day-to-day banking activities, payment processing, cash flow and account administration.

We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of banking procedures, established banking contacts and the confidence to coordinate directly with banks to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Banking Operations & Relationship Management

   
   

• Maintain strong working relationships with banks and banking relationship managers.

  
  

• Coordinate directly with banks on day-to-day banking matters, account-related requests and operational requirements.

  
  

• Manage banking processes, including account openings, account maintenance, payment instructions and bank documentation.

  
  

• Follow up on banking queries, payment issues, transfers and transaction confirmations.

  
  

• Support the establishment and maintenance of banking facilities and services.

  
  

• Ensure all banking requirements and procedures are completed accurately and within the required timelines.

  
  

2. Payments Processing

• Process domestic and international payments, ensuring timely and accurate execution.

  
  

• Verify payment requests against approved documentation and authorisation limits.

  
  

• Maintain accurate records of all payment transactions.

  
  

• Verify supplier bank details in accordance with the company's supplier verification policy and SOP.

  
  

3. Petty Cash & Company Cards

• Coordinate company card funding based on operational requirements.

  
  

• Manage Head Office Dubai petty cash, including reconciliations and record keeping.

  
  

4. Cash Flow Management

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.

  
  

• Monitor cash balances and support effective liquidity management.

  
  

• Maintain the post-dated cheques register.

  
  

• Identify potential cash shortages or surpluses and highlight them proactively.

  
  

5. Bank KYC & Compliance

• Maintain updated Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation for all bank accounts.

  
  

• Coordinate with banks to ensure all compliance and documentation requirements are met.

  
  

• Ensure banking activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  
  

6. Financial Reporting

• Prepare regular reports on cash positions, bank balances and payment activities.

  
  

• Provide accurate and timely financial information to management.

  
  

7. Risk Management & Confidentiality

• Identify potential financial and operational risks, including payment fraud.

  
  

• Follow internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.

  
  

• Maintain strict confidentiality of bank balances, payment information, company documents and other sensitive financial data.

  
  

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  
  

• Minimum 1 - 2 years of UAE experience in a similar role, ideally within the hospitality industry

  
  

• Previous experience in treasury, banking operations or a similar finance role.

  
  

• Good understanding of banking procedures, payment processes and treasury operations.

  
  

• Experience dealing directly with banks and banking relationship managers is essential.

  
  

• Established banking contacts and the ability to maintain effective banking relationships.

  
  

• Knowledge of bank account administration, KYC documentation, domestic and international transfers.

  
  

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  
  

• Good communication and coordination skills.
