Job Summary:
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's visa and immigration processes, including document preparation, submission, and follow-up with government authorities. The role involves ensuring that all visa applications, renewals, and other related tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with UAE regulations.
Visa Processing:
- Prepare and process all types of visas (employment, visit, business, etc.) and labor permits.
- Submit visa applications to relevant government departments and follow up until approval.
- Handle visa renewals, cancellations, and amendments in a timely manner.
Document Management:
- Ensure all required documentation is prepared, organized, and submitted in accordance with UAE immigration laws and company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of employee visas and ensure all renewals are processed on time.
- Handle all company-related documentations, such as trade licenses, labor contracts, and company registrations.
Government Liaison:
- Act as the main point of contact between the company and various UAE government authorities (e.g., Ministry of Labor, Immigration Department, Free Zones).
- Ensure that all company activities are in compliance with UAE labor and immigration laws.
- Assist in resolving any issues related to visa applications or employee documents.
Employee Support:
- Assist employees with queries related to visa and immigration processes.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure smooth onboarding of new employees, including arranging medical tests, Emirates ID applications, and other mandatory requirements.
- Provide guidance to employees on visa procedures, and ensure they understand the necessary steps and documents needed.
Record Keeping & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all government transactions and renewals.
- Prepare regular reports on visa status and upcoming renewals.
- Ensure that all company records are updated and compliant with legal requirements.
Compliance:
- Stay updated with any changes in UAE immigration and labor laws and ensure the company’s compliance with them.
- Advise management on any necessary changes to company policies or procedures in light of new regulations.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a PRO, preferably within the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labor and immigration laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).
- Proficient in using office software and government portals (e.g., eChannels, Tasheel, GDRFA).
