Procurement Specialist

Job Objective

 

Implementing procurement operations, monitoring their procedures, verifying their quality, and ensuring compliance with approved specifications, and overseeing all related execution tasks in the operational plan.

 

Key Responsibilities/Duties

 

  1. Receiving purchase requests from all organizational units within the entity.
  2. Monitoring the execution of purchase requests, receiving purchases, and supplying them to the warehouses in coordination with relevant personnel within the entity.
  3. Preparing and issuing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the entity's policies.
  4. Monitoring the tendering process, evaluating proposals, and executing purchasing operations in accordance with approved procedures.
  5. Preparing contracts and reviewing them with legal personnel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  6. Communicating with suppliers to execute contracts according to the terms specified in purchase requests and sending them to finance for appropriate action.
  7. Monitoring the registration of suppliers, their qualification, and inclusion in the supplier register in accordance with applicable regulations.
  8. Maintaining a supplier database and continually assessing supplier performance.
  9. Keeping accurate records of all procurement and contract activities.
  10. Executing any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Education, Qualification and Experience

For a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 10 years of experience is required.

For a Master's degree, a minimum of 7 years of experience is required.

For a PhD, a minimum of 4 years of experience is required.


Relevant Experience

  • Professional qualification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation.
