Contracts Officer

Job Purpose

Responsible for coordinating and contributing to the review and evaluation of tender documents and contracts, as well as

the compilation of contracts, with oversight of the Contracts Management Policy, procedures, processes, and standards.

This role also involves ensuring compliance with obligations of all contractors and contract activities of the Company in a

manner that minimizes risk and maximizes benefits to the Company.


Key Accountabilities

 Provides professional support, expertise, and practical assistance to the Manager – Corporate and Contracts and

other stakeholders throughout the contract management process.

 Maintains and monitors all contractual records and contract retention, including all documentation related to

contracts.

 Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring contract processes and policies to ensure compliance with

statutory controls, regulations, and Company requirements.

 Assists in developing contracting activities to ensure that all contract development processes adhere to company

procedures, technical work instructions, and legal requirements.

 Supports the coordination of the tender process, from the pre-qualification stage through to final bid submission,

contract award, and engagement closeout, including extensions and renewals of contracts.

 Assists in identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures of Contracts from legal perspective

 Aids in evaluating, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a contractor performance management system to

assess indicators such as capability, quality, and delivery.

 Liaises with internal and external stakeholders as required.

The responsibilities are not limited to the above and may include additional tasks/projects as assigned by the line manager.


Job Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in contract management. Comprehensive knowledge of contract law and

relevant procedures. Excellent communication and drafting skills in Arabic and English

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Law, or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
