HSE Officer - IMS (Temporary)

Principal Accountabilities:


With direct day-to-day reporting to the HSSEQ Manager, the IMS HSE Officer is principally accountable for:


  • Implementing, administering, and coordinating EIL Integrated Management System activities, including E-system and documentation, to comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, local legislations, corporate, and customer requirements, and applicable international standards.
  • Controlling, maintaining, and improving key processes, documentation, and records required by various standards and regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining the e-management system.
  • Facilitating the internal IMS & EnMS audits and coordinating other HSSEQ related audits.
  • Assist in managing and tracking the corrective and preventive actions process arising from audits, incident investigations, inspections, and emergency drills to closure.
  • Tracking the regular inspections for Jebel Ali and Fujairah Terminals to ensure compliance with the IMS and corporate requirements.
  • Assisting the Operations Department in managing customer feedback and complaints.
  • Collating the required data for the monthly reports on IMS, HSSEQ, and sustainability performances, including KPIs to HTL, ENOC GHSE and Sustainability.
  • Organizing IMS-related trainings including E-System training.
  • Organizing Management Reviews, HSE Business Plan review meetings, and EnMS CORE team meetings.
  • Organizing and coordinating with the authorities on the documentation and site inspections for Terminal Operational Fitness Certificates and supporting licensing renewal processes.
  • Organizing employees’ occupational health evaluations and tracking their status with the ENOC OHSC.
  • Carrying out other HSSEQ related tasks as assigned.


Minimum Requirements


  • Education: High School / Diploma in Management or Engineering
  • Qualifications & Experience: Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 Auditing System. Have 2 to 3 years experiences as IMS Coordinator, Assistant Management Representative or similar role in oil and petrochemical industry.
  • Computer Skills: As the candidate is expected to operate an e-management system, good computing skills on databases, active directory and Microsoft Office applications including word documents, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and graphs are essential
  • Language & Writing Skills: Excellent report and procedure writing including verbal communication skills in English with the ability to put forth concepts in simple but good English as editor of various documents and other material are essential.
  • Other Skills & Competencies: Good knowledge of regulations of local authorities and standards related to EHS in petrochemical Industry. Must possess analytical skills, and the drive and ability to translate information into relevant actions.
