Position Overview: NCH is seeking a dynamic, passionate, proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator to manage imports and exports, clear shipments, and handle all related documentation and approvals. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods. This role requires immediate availability and expertise in supply chain processes, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance within the UAE and GCC.
Responsibilities:
Customs Clearance
- Pass shipments Bill of Entry and monitor DPW deposits.
- Manage renewals for Business Code, Dubai Trade subscriptions and Zajel submissions.
Ministry of Health (MOH) Compliance
- Apply for and obtain initial and clearance permits for imports.
- Coordinate documentations and permit applications for exports with Regional Managers.
- Liaise with MOH inspectors for product inspections.
Dubai Municipality Compliance:
- Apply for and obtain CPIP (DM Food Safety) permits and handle sample requests.
- Apply for and coordinate FIRS approvals (DM Foods Dept) and prepare products for inspection.
Regulatory Engagement
- Ensure compliance and document attestation (e.g. invoices, certificates of origin, etc) with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC).
- Processing documents pertaining to exports with the Chamber of Commerce and Customs.
Managing Request for Proposals
- Manage partners and obtain freight quotations from forwarders.
- Analyze and assess proposals providing a clear recommendation based on costs and shipping efficiencies.
- Respond to forwarders/agents and refer shipments to proper channels, making special shipping arrangements as needed.
Shipment Documents and Tracking
- Constantly review shipment ETAs to ensure timely clearance processes.
- Review shipping documents for accuracy and resolve any errors.
Cross Functional Engagement
- Manage shipment budgets and report to the Accounts Department.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and Supply Chain Department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain coordination, with a focus on international trade, imports, exports, and customs clearance.
- Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations and compliance requirements (MOH, Dubai Municipality, MOFAIC).
- Immediate availability to start.
