Aldar Academies are currently seeking an Admin Assistant for Al Ain British Academy commencing in January 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family.
Al Ain British Academy opened in September 2011 providing high quality education in the heritage ‘Garden City’ of the United Arab Emirates. The children are taught the English National Curriculum – tailored to be meaningful to children living in Al Ain. Facilities at the school are excellent and include a large astro-turf field, two swimming pools, well-stocked library, a large multi-purpose sports hall, an auditorium and outdoor play areas. Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support all operational and support services where and when required.
Main Duties
- Attend all administration team meetings
- Typing and branding of official documents and letters to parents
- Receiving, directing and responding to emails of behalf of the school as appropriate
- Link to Aldar HQ for all related issues/tasks
- Design new documents, where necessary, to improve Academy’s effectiveness
- Attend any training deemed necessary in relation to the role of Admin Support
- Maintaining up to date records for all pupils on engage
- Ensure all fire registers are up to date and accurate for the full School
- Raise purchase orders and manage suppliers where required
- Process any student leavers forms for whole school, update Engage and forward to Admissions
- Cover where required so cross training is a must
- Support in events preparation / planning
- Support with social media and communication
- Own and manage exams for full school (preparations / planning / compliance)
- Any other reasonable request by management
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
“O” Levels/NVQ/High School Diploma or equivalent (certificate will need to be attested)
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 1- 2 years in admin support Position
Job Skills And Knowledge
- The successful candidate will require use of Microsoft Office, enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility, good interpersonal skills, motivation, resilience, patience, ability to work flexibly
- Applicants must be confident Good literacy skills and an excellent command of English (An ability to speak Arabic would be an advantage).
