- Check freshness of food and discard expired items.
- Check the quality of materials and condition of cooking equipment and devices.
- In-depth understanding of sanitation principles, food preparation, baking techniques, and nutrition.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor food stock and place orders. Manage inventory of pastry ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
- Optimize ingredient usage, portion sizes, and production efficiency.
- Manage purchasing of quality ingredients at competitive prices.
- Coordinate dessert offerings for special events, promotions, or themed menus
