Tax Operations Manager

As part of our strategic expansion across the MENA region, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Tax Operations Manager to join our Abu Dhabi office.About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Operations Manager to lead our global tax compliance efforts across FATCA, CRS, and QI/QDD frameworks. This role is pivotal in ensuring our operations meet international tax obligations and regulatory standards, working closely with Finance, Compliance, and Back Office teams.Key ResponsibilitiesFATCA/CRS Compliance Ensure accurate client classification and due diligence under FATCA and CRS. Manage updates to client tax statuses and oversee remediation of missing documentation. QI/QDD Operations Implement and maintain procedures for QI/QDD compliance, including U. S. withholding tax requirements. Liaise with external consultants and support Finance in reporting. Data Integrity & Internal Controls Maintain high data quality across client records and ensure consistency in compliance documentation. Cross-Departmental Coordination Collaborate with Back Office, Compliance, and Finance to ensure seamless tax operations and information flow. Regulatory Readiness Assist in audit preparation, certifications, and reporting reviews related to FATCA, CRS, and QI. Process Documentation Develop and maintain SOPs for all tax operations processes and controls. System Integration Ensure operational platforms (Trader Net, banking systems, KYC modules) support accurate tax data capture and updates.Probationary Period Assessment CriteriaEstablishment of robust FATCA/CRS workflows and QI/QDD controls. Successful integration of tax operations with Back Office and Finance systems. Delivery of comprehensive SOPs aligned with regulatory and internal standards.Professional CompetenciesIn-depth knowledge of FATCA, CRS, and QI/QDD frameworks. Experience in coordinating with external advisors and Finance teams. Familiarity with post-trade operations in brokerage or banking. Strong procedural drafting and enforcement skills. Excellent data management and validation capabilities. Understanding of international regulatory environments (ADGM, DIFC, FCA, ESMA).Personal CompetenciesStrong analytical and organizational skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Effective communicator across departments and with external consultants.
