This will include ensuring that all required materials are in the examination rooms for the start of the examinations and arrangements for candidates with special educational needs are in place. Organising exam materials, providing safe custody of and organising examination stationery and materials, including question papers, in accordance with regulations. Organising the examination rooms, in accordance with JCQ and IB regulations in liaison with the Facilities Manager. Produce a centre timetable to include dates, times, venues, and number of candidates for internal and external exams, based on relevant exam numbers and duration. This includes resolving examination clashes in accordance with regulations. Liaise with examination boards and school staff regarding examination entries and arrangements. Liaise with Head of Inclusion in providing SEN/POD provision with regard to entries and access arrangements for all internal/external examinations. Make all necessary access arrangements. Disseminating information, answering enquiries and dealing with issues regarding external examinations with staff, students and parents. Collect and dispatch coursework and exam scripts in accordance with exam regulation and centre procedures. Briefing candidates on examination regulations and producing written guidelines for staff and students; ensuring candidates are aware of their own examination timetables. Provide HOD with necessary access to exam portals (CIE, Results Plus, EOL) Provide HOD with moderation reports post examination. Provide HOD / Teachers with access to scripts post examination. Ensure all students have the required examination board student logon details set up and issued to students. Arranging invigilation and supporting the Assistant Principal with briefing and training all teachers on invigilation requirements and examination procedures. Processing enquiries about results and requests for return of scripts. Oversee the checking and distribution of certificates. Liaise with the Finance Office and Aldar Academies to ensure all fees for exams are collected including re-entries and appeals. Keep up to date with the requirements of the role including online reading, participation on examination officer training online and implement all new regulations (National Assessment Agency and Examinations Officers Association). Provide accurate analysis and records of school performance for IGCSE examinations.Specific DutiesTo be the Cover Supervisor – ensuring that all teacher absence is covered, in accordance with the Cover Policy, using school’s management information system. To support the Assistant Principal in producing a working school curriculum timetable based on the curriculum model and planning. To organise CAT, GL and NGRT testing, and timetables, which involves liaising with Admissions staff, Library staff, and Heads of Department. To support the Assistant Principal in producing spreadsheets and statistical data based on results for GL Assessments, Cognitive Abilities Tests (CAT), NGRT, Student Progress Reports, Mock Examinations and External Examinations. To work with the Assistant Principal in ensuring the required number of CAT4 and GL assessments have been purchased by Aldar Academies for administering assessments. To undertake any relevant administrative work, and support with occasional Reception cover, as requested by the Principal.7:30 am to 3:30 pm; Sunday to Thursday; Term-Time only; Local Contract. The post holder is required to work some evenings and weekends (Friday external examinations only) during examination seasons. While the exams fall during the Ramadan period, the Examination Officer can claim back the hours worked after the agreed finish time. These hours must be clearly marked on the time off in lieu sheet and finger printing in and out must be done. The Examination Officer is NOT eligible to receive additional payments for invigilation. This is covered within the higher salary and an expectation of the agreed job description. If exams or exam results fall over an EID break, again the Examination Officer is expected to be present. Time in lieu can be claimed but must be logged on sheet. The Examination Officer is expected to be present prior to exam results and on results days (this is part of normal contract unless falling at EID), no additional time will be given. To work alongside the Assistant Principal to ensure all internal school data is uploaded on the ADEK ESIS portal on a termly basisQualificationsMinimum QualificationsDegree or relevant vocational qualification Successful high school completion certificate Minimum ExperienceHighly organised administrator Experience in leading projects Experience of managing people and working to operational deadlines and procedures.
