Functional Consultant Business Central

Job Summary-:The Functional Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring system functionalities, and ensuring effective adoption of Business Central across the organization. This role works closely with end-users, business stakeholders, and the IT team to deliver process-aligned solutions, support day-to-day operations, lead UAT activities, and drive continuous system improvements. The consultant ensures that Business Central is optimized to meet business needs while maintaining best practices and system stability.Responsibilities-: Functional Support & Issue Resolution Provide daily functional support to end-users across D365 BC modules, troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth system operations. Requirement Gathering & Documentation Engage with business departments to collect requirements, map them to Business Central capabilities, and prepare clear BRD/FSD documentation for enhancements and new processes. Stakeholder Communication & Coordination Act as the key bridge between users, IT, and management. Communicate updates, clarify requirements, and ensure timely alignment across all stakeholders. UAT Planning & Execution Prepare test scenarios, guide users through UAT, log defects, and validate solutions before deployment to ensure functional accuracy and business acceptance. Process Improvement & System Optimization Review existing business workflows, ensure alignment with BC best practices, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline operations. Qualifications/Skills-: · Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.· Professional certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (preferred). Strong functional understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central modules (Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse). Excellent skills in requirement gathering, process mapping, BRD/FSD documentation, and functional analysis. Proficient in system configuration, workflows, posting setups, and permission management. Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities. Capability to work closely with technical/development teams for functional issue resolution Skilled in UAT planning, test case creation, execution, and validation. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Ability to create user training materials, SOPs, and deliver end-user training sessions. Familiarity with reporting tools such as Account Schedules, Analysis Views, and standard BC reports (preferred). Proficient in UAT planning, test case creation, and validation. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
