Job Title: Head of Infrastructure and Security Operations Reports to: Chief Information Officer Department: Group ITGrade: Gr.33Job Purpose This role is responsible for leading and managing Infrastructure and Security Operations, ensuring secure, reliable, and cost-effective technology services across the enterprise. The position oversees infrastructure architecture, operations, cloud services, and security operations, driving continuous improvement, resilience, and compliance with IT standards and cybersecurity policies. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Operations Lead infrastructure services encompassing data centers, cloud platforms, networks, storage, backup, and endpoint management. Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of all IT infrastructure supporting business-critical applications. Oversee infrastructure projects, upgrades, and integrations in alignment with the IT roadmap. Manage desktop support and helpdesk operations. Manage budgeting, capacity planning, and service continuity to meet business demands. Optimize the cost and performance of cloud environments and on-premise systems. Drive automation and modernization initiatives to improve service reliability and efficiency. Security Operations Oversight Direct the Security Operations function (SOC), ensuring 24×7 monitoring, incident detection, and response. Oversee implementation and management of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, DLP, vulnerability, and patch-management programs. Coordinate incident response activities and ensure alignment with governance frameworks and escalation protocols. Ensure compliance with Security Governance policies, collaborating with governance teams on controls and audits. Maintain disaster recovery (DR) readiness and coordinate DR drills with business units. Oversee IT continuity management to ensure rapid restoration of services in case of disaster. Leadership & Vendor Management Manage vendor and service-provider relationships to ensure high performance and SLA adherence. Lead and mentor infrastructure and SOC teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence, ownership, and service quality. Collaborate with application and governance teams to ensure seamless integration of security and infrastructure strategies. Reporting & Governance Define and monitor KPIs and operational metrics for infrastructure and security operations. Report on infrastructure health, incidents, vulnerabilities, and system availability to the CIO. Support audit and compliance activities as part of the enterprise GRC framework. Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related discipline. ITIL Certification (Manager/Expert level preferred). Cloud certifications are an advantage. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC preferred. Work Experience Minimum 12–15 years of IT infrastructure and operations experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure, networks, virtualization, and system administration. Demonstrated experience managing Security Operations Centers and leading cross-functional IT teams. Strong vendor and service-delivery management background. Exposure to hybrid and multi-cloud environments and enterprise security frameworks.
