Title: Database Administrator (DBA) Duration: 1 Year Contract with possible extension Location: Dubai
Job Description:Requirements & Qualifications Platform Expertise: Proven track record as a DBA with deep technical knowledge of SQL Server (2019–2022) and Postgre SQL (v12–v16); experience with recent major releases is essential. GIS Capability: Advanced proficiency in managing Post GIS extensions is highly desirable to support specialized spatial data workloads. Performance Tuning: Expert-level command of database internals, execution plans and optimization techniques for both SQL Server and Postgres SQL database servers Architectural Resilience: Demonstrated experience designing and deploying complex High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures (e.g., Always On, Patroni, or Streaming Replication). Data Integrity & Recovery: Comprehensive experience in architecting enterprise backup/restore strategies and managing Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) scenarios. Security: Strong familiarity with enterprise security protocols, encryption standards and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001). Troubleshooting: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to lead L3-level troubleshooting and performance diagnostics. Professional Certification: Valid industry certifications are mandatory. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
