The project:
Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial workplaces and retail units along with a public realm.
Provides visible health and safety leadership across projects, offering expert guidance, assurance and proactive risk management. Supports project teams in maintaining safe working environments, driving compliance with Mace standards, and promoting a strong safety culture to enable successful and responsible project delivery.
You’ll be responsible for:
Updating knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, international standards, and best practices.
Identifying hazards, assess risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Investigating incidents, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions.
Developing and enforcing HSE policies, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance across all project phases.
Supervising safety training programs and promote a strong safety culture within the project team.
Evaluating HSW data, KPIs and corrective actions to identify gaps and implement improvement plans.
Managing multiple priorities and ensuring timely implementation of safety measures.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, HSE or related field, with mandatory NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
Proven HSE experience, including in the UAE.
Proven track record in infrastructure and building projects; experience in industrial and mixed-use developments is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of HSW legislation, risk management and auditing across infrastructure and building projects
Effective communicator able to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
