Technical Support Collaborate closely with sales teams and customers to understand their audio requirements and provide expert guidance on professional sound reinforcement, installed audio, and live audio solutions. Provide pre-sales technical support, addressing customer questions, concerns, and complex audio challenges across a range of applications including live events, broadcast, corporate, and fixed installations. Solution Design Design customized audio system solutions and proposals based on customer needs, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Develop system architectures incorporating industry-leading technologies and follow best practices and relevant standards. Product Knowledge Maintain in-depth knowledge of the professional audio portfolio and stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and workflows in the audio industry. Act as a subject matter expert on system design, signal flow, networking (Dante/AVB), control, and integration. Demonstrations & Presentations Conduct product demonstrations, system walk-throughs, and technical presentations to showcase audio solutions, features, and performance capabilities to customers and stakeholders. Deliver training sessions and seminars for customers, partners, and end users. Quotations & Documentation Prepare accurate and detailed documentation for audio projects, including equipment specifications, system design details, and delivery schedules. Provide narratives, supporting documentation, and written or verbal briefs for quotations and tender responses. Customer Relationship Building Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, integrators, and industry influencers to foster trust, long-term partnerships, and repeat business. Market & Technology Research Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies, providing strategic insights and recommendations to sales and management teams. Identify opportunities for new markets, applications, and potential customers.
Education, Experience, and Key Competencies Relevant degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent professional certification Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar senior or principal audio engineering role Proven experience in the professional audio industry, with strong knowledge of:Loudspeaker systems (e.g., L-Acoustics, Bose Professional & QSC) Wireless and wired microphone systems (e.g., Shure) Digital mixing and audio production platforms (e.g., Avid & Allen & Heath) Audio networking and control systems (e.g., Q-SYS plus technologies Dante, AES67, AVB) Strong technical aptitude with the ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new products and technologies Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Proficiency in audio design and prediction software (e.g., Soundvision, EASE, Auto CAD/Vectorworks) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings, site visits, and demonstrations
