Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and manage baseline project schedules using planning software.
Prepare detailed work programs, resource-loaded schedules, and construction sequences
Update schedules regularly and monitor actual progress versus planned progress.
Analyze project progress and identify schedule variances and critical path activities.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves.
Provide schedule forecasts and recommend corrective actions for delays.
Conduct delay analysis (EOT analysis, impact analysis, time impact analysis).
Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and schedule-related contractual submissions
Maintain planning records and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, cost control, procurement, and subcontractors.
Review subcontractor schedules and integrate them into the master program.
Guide and mentor junior planning engineers.
Prepare resource and manpower histograms and cash flow forecasts.
Identify scheduling risks and support mitigation and recovery plans.
Ensure schedules comply with contract requirements and project controls procedures.
Support audits and project planning reviews.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering projects, showcasing a strong background in planning and scheduling.
Experience working on large-scale projects like high rise buildings, hotels, villas, shopping malls and commercial & residential buildings, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex planning tasks.
Proven track record of using project management software tools like Primavera P6 with high proficiency.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights for project improvement.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality assurance in planning deliverables.
Adaptability to changing project conditions and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring project resilience.
