Roles & Responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with Certifying Staff to gain full understanding of work scope, priorities, documentation requirements, and cautions prior to starting work.

• Prepare work areas, materials, tools, equipment, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) required for assigned tasks.

• Perform aircraft painting, paint repair, and surface finishing activities strictly in accordance with approved task cards, maintenance data, and company procedures, and as directed by Certifying Staff / authorized personnel.

• Ensure proper tooling, and equipment, are drawn from stores, used correctly, and returned in good condition following completion of work.

• Regularly report task progress to Certifying Staff and promptly communicate any defects, issues, or deviations encountered during execution.

• Manage the safety of own assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring all published mandatory precautions are taken prior to and during task execution.

• Take positive steps to protect self and others in the work area from possible injury, including correct use of GSE and PPE.

• Adhere to Human Factors principles and fatigue management practices, following work interruption procedures and ensuring adequate access and lighting during maintenance and inspection activities.

• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.

• Minimize wastage of consumable materials and part repair costs by avoiding unnecessary damage and repeat work through careful workmanship and procedural adherence.

• Work effectively as part of the maintenance team, supporting additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager (MM), Quality Assurance Manager (QAM), or other authorized personnel.

• Work under pressure and within rotating shift patterns, as operationally required.

Desired Candidate Profile

• AME License or recognized Trade Certificate in Aircraft Painting or a related discipline.

• Minimum 1 year of relevant aviation painting experience, preferably within a CAR-145 approved MRO or airline maintenance organization.

• Formal training in Aircraft Painting techniques.

• Training/working knowledge of GCAA/EASA CAR-145 maintenance requirements.

• Human Factors training (required).

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to a good standard for technical documentation and workplace communication.
