Role Description The HSE Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Fujairah, responsible for leading health, safety, and environmental initiatives across mining and minerals operations. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures in line with local regulations and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and audits; managing incident and accident investigations; and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and tracked. The HSE Manager will deliver training and awareness programs for employees and contractors, promote a strong safety culture, and maintain HSE documentation and reporting. Collaboration with operations, maintenance, and management teams to identify hazards, improve work practices, and support continuous HSE performance improvement is essential. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with experience applying them in industrial or mining environments. Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) skills, including knowledge of environmental regulations, risk management, and compliance monitoring. Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root cause analysis, incident reporting, and implementation of preventive measures. Candidates should possess Training skills, with the ability to design and deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for diverse teams. Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) and a degree or diploma in safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field are highly beneficial. Proven experience in an HSE leadership role within mining, heavy industry, or construction, preferably in the Middle East, is an advantage. Strong knowledge of applicable local and international HSE regulations and standards, and ability to develop and implement HSE management systems. Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
