The key duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to:
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues in heavy equipment (Excavators, Loaders, Cranes, Dozors, Forklift & Dumpers )
Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and breakdown repairs.
Conduct field service calls and emergency breakdown support.
Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and schematics.
Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Carry out inspections and prepare service reports and job cards.
Supervise field service activities and technicians at assigned project sites.
Monitor job progress, work quality, productivity, and compliance with HSE requirements.
Coordinate spare parts requirements and ensure timely availability of materials for service jobs..
Liaise with stores, procurement, workshop, and field service teams regarding parts planning and inventory.
Support equipment commissioning, testing, and major overhaul activities.
Follow HSE policies and safe working practices at all times.
Ensure jobs are completed within allocated time and quality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in heavy equipment service, maintenance, field operations, or spare parts coordination.
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment mechanical systems.
Experience with hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and axles.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical faults.
Experience working in UAE or GCC preferred
Strong communication and reporting abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and service reporting systems
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
UAE Driving License preferred for field-based assignments
