Job Details

The key duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues in heavy equipment (Excavators, Loaders, Cranes, Dozors, Forklift & Dumpers )

  • Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and breakdown repairs.

  • Conduct field service calls and emergency breakdown support.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and schematics.

  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.

  • Carry out inspections and prepare service reports and job cards.

  • Supervise field service activities and technicians at assigned project sites.

  • Monitor job progress, work quality, productivity, and compliance with HSE requirements.

  • Coordinate spare parts requirements and ensure timely availability of materials for service jobs..

  • Liaise with stores, procurement, workshop, and field service teams regarding parts planning and inventory.

  • Support equipment commissioning, testing, and major overhaul activities.

  • Follow HSE policies and safe working practices at all times.

  • Ensure jobs are completed within allocated time and quality standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in heavy equipment service, maintenance, field operations, or spare parts coordination.

  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment mechanical systems.

  • Experience with hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and axles.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical faults.

  • Experience working in UAE or GCC preferred

  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and service reporting systems

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • UAE Driving License preferred for field-based assignments
