Role Description The e Learning Developer will design, build, and maintain online learning content that supports DAS Lab’s research, training, and outreach activities. This part-time, remote role involves translating complex topics in AI, security, and privacy into clear, engaging e Learning modules and microlearning assets. Daily responsibilities include working with subject matter experts to define learning objectives, creating instructional materials and assessments, and configuring content in learning management environments. The e Learning Developer will ensure courses comply with relevant e Learning standards, update materials based on learner feedback and data, and collaborate with the team to improve the overall learner experience. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in E-Learning Development and Learning Management for creating and deploying online courses. Candidates should possess skills in Instructional Design and Training & Development for structuring content and aligning learning objectives with outcomes. Candidates should possess skills in SCORM and related e Learning standards to ensure compatibility and tracking across platforms. Experience with common authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Storyline, or similar) and learning management systems is beneficial. Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts (AI, security, privacy) to non-expert audiences are preferred. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with researchers and educators. Background in education, instructional technology, human-computer interaction, computer science, or a related field is a plus.
