Role Description This is a part-time, remote Investment Manager role focused on supporting medical research and innovation initiatives in Western Australia. The Investment Manager will assess funding proposals, conduct financial and risk analyses, and make recommendations to support strategic investment decisions in research and innovation projects. The role involves monitoring the performance of funded initiatives, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and frameworks. The Investment Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to investment strategy development, and help identify opportunities to maximize impact and sustainability. Regular communication, documentation, and data-driven decision-making are key components of the day-to-day work. Qualifications Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and evaluate investment opportunities. Experience in finance and financial services, with knowledge of investment principles and portfolio management. Background in accounting and auditing, including understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance. Ability to present financial insights clearly to diverse stakeholders, both in writing and verbally. Experience working remotely, with strong organizational, time management, and self-management skills. Familiarity with healthcare, medical research, or innovation sectors is highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage. Proficiency with financial analysis tools and spreadsheets, and comfort working with digital collaboration platforms.
