The Role We are seeking an experienced Daycare Supervisor / Childcare Coordinator to coordinate childcare activities, support staff, manage administrative processes, and help maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment for children. This part-time remote opportunity is primarily suited to professionals who can support childcare planning, staff coordination, parent communication, scheduling, documentation, training, and operational administration, with on-site childcare responsibilities conducted according to business requirements. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily childcare schedules, routines, activities, staffing requirements, and operational tasks. Supervise and support childcare staff, nursery assistants, educators, and support personnel. Ensure appropriate supervision, safeguarding, health, hygiene, and safety procedures are consistently followed. Coordinate staff schedules, attendance, leave, coverage, and daily assignments. Support the planning of age-appropriate educational, recreational, creative, and developmental activities. Monitor children's wellbeing, participation, behavior, and general developmental needs. Maintain accurate attendance records, child profiles, incident reports, activity records, and operational documentation. Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding schedules, activities, updates, concerns, and childcare arrangements. Respond to parent inquiries and coordinate appropriate solutions to service or childcare issues. Support staff onboarding, training, performance monitoring, coaching, and professional development. Coordinate childcare supplies, equipment, educational materials, and resource requirements. Monitor service quality and identify opportunities to improve childcare processes and family experience. Assist with emergency procedures, safeguarding documentation, health and safety records, and incident management. Prepare staffing reports, activity summaries, operational updates, and management information. Coordinate with management, educators, parents, and relevant specialists regarding children's individual support requirements. Support compliance with internal childcare policies and applicable education and safeguarding standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Psychology, Childcare Management, or a related discipline is preferred.3+ years of professional experience in daycare, nursery, childcare, early-years education, or childcare administration is preferred. Strong understanding of child development, childcare routines, safeguarding, and age-appropriate activities. Previous experience supervising childcare staff or coordinating daily childcare operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional approach to parent and staff relationships. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Patient, responsible, caring, and dependable approach to childcare. Strong attention to detail when maintaining child records, schedules, reports, and operational documentation. Good understanding of health, safety, hygiene, safeguarding, and child-protection procedures. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, scheduling systems, and digital communication platforms. Ability to coordinate effectively with educators, parents, management, and external specialists. Early Childhood Education, Montessori, CACHE, childcare, safeguarding, or management certifications are advantageous but not required.
