Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for a Civil Engineer specializing in road works, earthworks, and leveling. The role involves planning, designing, and supervising road construction and earthworks activities, including excavation, backfilling, grading, and compaction, to ensure safe and durable infrastructure. The Civil Engineer will prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and method statements, coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants, and monitor progress against project schedules and budgets. Daily tasks include conducting site inspections, overseeing quality control and testing, managing stormwater drainage and erosion control measures, and ensuring compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company procedures. The engineer will also support project documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of construction processes.
Qualifications

Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills relevant to road works, earthworks, and infrastructure projects. Experience working as a Civil Engineer on-site, supervising construction activities and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Planning skills for sequencing works, resource allocation, and managing project timelines and budgets. Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage design, and erosion control for road and earthworks projects. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. Familiarity with relevant UAE standards, codes, and local authority requirements. Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., Auto CAD, civil design tools) and basic MS Office skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and site safety. Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, consultants, and site personnel. Previous experience in GCC construction projects, especially in road and infrastructure works, is an advantage.
