Job purpose The VP Business Development is responsible for growing the company's business in the assigned region by identifying new customers, opening strategic relationships, and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue. The role combines market insight, trusted relationship-building, and hands-on sales execution, with a focus on governments, public safety organizations, telecom operators, and enterprise customers. The VP works closely with the GM Middle East and internal teams to represent the company's full offering in the market. This role offers the opportunity to develop a stronger presence in a strategically important region, build relevant customer and partner relationships, and contribute to the company's international growth through concrete business development results.
Duties and responsibilities1. Strategic Planning & Pipeline Development Contribute to regional business development plans and translate them into a clear pipeline of target customers and opportunities Identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and new business opportunities Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of high-value prospects and active opportunities2. Sales Leadership & Execution Open new strategic customer relationships across government, public safety, telecom and enterprise sectors Create business opportunities where no active sales process exists today Engage senior decision makers and build trusted executive-level relationships Develop strategic opportunities into customer relationships with potential for long-term partnership and recurring business Drive "complex" deal pursuits from first conversation to contract signature Maintain visibility on opportunity quality, next steps, and commercial progress throughout the sales cycle3. Relationship Building & Collaboration Build and maintain local partner network as a key business development channel Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking events Requirements Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is required, in addition to English Key Competencies and Challenges These competencies describe the experience and mindset that are important for success in the role.
