Role Description The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The CCO will design, implement, and oversee the organization’s compliance framework, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring regulatory changes, conducting risk assessments, reviewing and updating compliance policies, and advising leadership on compliance-related decisions. The role involves developing and delivering compliance training, handling compliance inquiries, and coordinating internal reviews or audits as needed. The CCO will collaborate closely with finance, HR, and operational teams to embed compliance practices into business processes and support ethical, transparent decision-making. Qualifications Strong expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, with a track record of building and maintaining effective compliance programs. Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess risks, interpret regulations, and translate complex requirements into practical policies and procedures. Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain compliance requirements clearly to stakeholders at all levels and prepare concise reports and documentation. Solid understanding of Finance principles to evaluate financial implications of compliance decisions and support audits or regulatory submissions. Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, business, finance, or a related field; professional certifications in compliance or risk management are an advantage. Experience in a senior compliance, risk, or governance role, ideally within consultancy or professional services environments. Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a part-time, hybrid setting. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable in the United Arab Emirates and the wider region is highly beneficial.
